"Imaginary Life" - represents just over 20 years of Psyche performances. Beginning with "The Crawler" on an Edmonton TV station in 1983 (including Dwayne Goettel who later joined Skinny Puppy) through to videos produced for "Unveiling The Secret", "Eternal", and "Misery", among others. Plus selected live performances of "Tears", "Murder In Your Love", "Sanctuary", and finally "Goodbye Horses" to name a few.
This is the definitive collection of Psyche's appearances in every incarnation from 1983-2005.
It all started at the end of 1982 as brothers Darrin and Stephen Huss performed in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for the first time under the chosen band name, Psyche.
A combination of horror and electronics that in the area of Western Canada was completely unheard of and would continue to be quite shocking for some time. 1985 saw their debut album "Insomnia Theatre" unleashed worldwide through their own label and licensed to New Rose Records out of Paris, France. After the underground success of "The Brain Collapses", the big Eurohit "Unveiling The Secret" followed in 1986. Since then, Psyche has continued to release a variety of songs and albums enveloping every facet of the independent electronic pop music genre. Various members have collaborated with Darrin and continued the hitmaking from "Misery", to the renowned cover of "Goodbye Horses", to "Sanctuary", and now what can be heard on the 2005 release "The 11th Hour".
From cold harsh industrial, through warm synthpop, dancefloor minimal, dark wave, and beyond!
Psyche are and remain a legend of independent electronic music.
