Dark Orange, with a timeless, charming album and enraptured new facets to let the band appear in a dazzling light.
Dark Orange have never been this irresistible and sensual before.
Their new album "clouds, paperships and fallen angels" shows us fascinating sound paintings, limitless spherical walls of guitars and bittersweet vocals sounding beads. It is exactly this kind of music, that remains immortal, which appeals to the romantic side in us and, beneath all stories of pain and melancholy, include the brightly lit glimmer of hope.
Dark Orange began in the 90s and beside bands like Stoa, Love Is Colder Than Death and Chandeen, one of the first Heavenly Voices spearheads of the cult label Hyperium.
With their former albums, the band toured as support for And Also The Trees, Pink Turns Blue and Love Like Blood all over Germany and was able to develop a significant fan base.
Much time has passed since then, but Dark Orange never really let us go. And it seems, that singer-Katrin Elna, bandleader Dirk Odu and sounddesigner Olivier Goyet just went to the attic to retrieve their hidden song-diamonds - a sparkling new and fresh sound with amazing new songs.
Also included are Steven Burrows and Emer Brizzolara from And Also The Trees participate as guest musicians and the final gemstone sound of the new album "clouds, paper spaceships and fallen angels" was done by Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins.
