(04/05) Founded in 2002 in Melbourne, Australia, "The Crystalline Effect" now present their debut "Glass" and the fascinating music the duo serves us is equally as cold and smooth as glass: Electro and EBM joined with Trip Hop that creates a chilled underlying blast, which you might expect to issue from frigid and rainy Northern Exrope but surely not from sunshine-pampered Melbourne.
"Glass" is an album that thrills the listener in a genre-bendind icestorm on clear intensity, introducing the audience to the shivering excitement of a cold world. Addictive and captivating, "Glass" not surprisingly drew many well-known artists to the bonus remix-CD that accompanies the debut disc. Many of those performing remix duties are themselves from Down Under, impressively demonstrating that the black scene is alive and well in Australia.
Without question, "The Crystalline Effect" will do their part to keep the scene alive.
